Design Statements


Project Need Statement
To construct a turbine blade suitable for the wind farm which generates the most electricity while remaining cost efficient. We are tasked to test multiple designs in order to discover the most suitable design.

Project Solution Statement
The team will first design several blade designs and later collaborate in order to make test designs for three different blades. After creating a basic design for our blades, we will test them under the impression of wind using a fan, recording the outcomes.


Constraints and Criteria

Constraints List
Blades in a 2 or 3 blade configuration for testing.
Blades in a 1 to 5 blade configuration final solution.
Blades must use standard support dowel, tape, cardboard and corrugated plastic
Blades must use available classroom materials
